The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has been established under Food Safety and Standards , 2006 which consolidates various acts & orders that have hitherto handled food related issues in various Ministries and Departments. FSSAI has been created for laying down science based standards for articles of food and to regulate their manufacture, storage, distribution, sale and import to ensure availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption.

- Authorised Signatory can sign the Application Form and all attachments License Fee will be decided based on the product consumption per month
- License Fee Challan to be collected from inspector and remitted with S.B.I Treasury by cash The Food Inspector will come for an Inspection and then he will recommend for the license Food License is Valid for One year from the date of Issue
Attendance & Wages Register is mandatory to maintain
- Original Food License Certificate to be displayed in the Notice Board – Compulsory In case of seasonal business, state the opening and closing period of the year
